A guide to find amazing scuba diving destinations in Spain
Welcome to my guide, in which I would like to introduce you to some of the wonderful diving opportunities in Spain. This list is not meant to be complete, I only present the places I have visited and photographed myself. Spain certainly offers many more interesting destinations.

Scuba Diving with Orca Sub Ibiza, Cala Tarida
Visibility of over 30 metres and large schools of Salema porgy (Sarpa salpa), Mediterranean Chromis (Chromis chromis) and hunting baracudas (Sphyraena barracuda) await you at the magnificent Illa Sa Conillera. Impressive rock walls form a canyon-like structure that is home to a variety of invertebrates like starfish, octopus and many more small critters. Dives are boat-based with Orca Sub, from Cala Tarida, offering a wonderful and comprehensive service to introduce you to the underwater world of Ibiza.

Exploring the reefs of Tarifa
Diving at the southernmost point of the European mainland offers a unique experience for all diving enthusiasts. The reef walls are covered in a variety of vegetation, star corals (Astroides calycularis) proliferate in their orange intensity. Wreckage can be discovered at a depth of 30 metres. Salema porgy (Sarpa salpa), bogue (Boops boops), swallowtail sea perch (Anthias anthias) swim in large schools around the reef formations. With a bit of luck you may even encounter a moonfish (Mola mola). The dive centre Yellow Sub operates a decent dive boat providing access to all the dive sites around the Isla de Tarifa. The dive guides work professionally and deliver a wonderful adventure for every diver in Tarifa.
Marina Del Este

Marina del Este, a scenic little place right on the Costa del Sol offers fantastic diving opportunities. The water is usually calm, clear and warm, with various types of coral lighting up the scene. Snorkellers can already discover the vibrant red beadlet anemone (Actinia equina) and the orange star corals (Astroides calycularis) on the rocky walls of the "Ensenada de los Berengueles" bay.

The underwater world of Mallorca fascinates with its topographical diversity, the dense seagrass meadows, moray eels, giant groupers and many hunting baracudas. Mallorca Diving Adventure, located in Port d’Andratx, takes you on exciting dives. As the name of the diving centre suggests, it offers a unique experience with stand up paddling and climbing routes between the dives.
